Hello, my name is Ahliya. I am 23 years old. I am Tai Lue and I was born in Nayang Neua Village, Nambak District, Luang Prabang Province. It is about 3–4 hours north of the city of Luang Prabang. I am the only son in my family.
I moved to Luang Prabang in 2016 to continue my studies in high school. During that time, I also became a novice monk from 2016 to 2019. After finishing high school, I continued my education at Souphanouvong University, where I recently graduated with a major in Economics.
I discovered @My Library while I was a university student. In my second year, I became interested in photography, design, and computer skills. I often joined workshops and learned many valuable skills from @My Library, such as photography, graphic design, computer skills, communication, and filmmaking.
In the past, I was a volunteer at the Keep Helping Each Other (KHEO) project, where I worked on the media team. I helped take photos and designed various posters for the project.
I enjoy photography because it allows me to capture meaningful moments and preserve beautiful memories that can be shared with others. I also enjoy learning new technologies, including AI, to enhance my creative and technical abilities. I hope to meet more photographers and new people so I can exchange ideas and further develop my photography, videography, and technical skills.
Currently, I work full-time at @My Library. I'm teaching beginner the photography class. I enjoy working there because I get to meet many people and continue learning new skills every day.
